I and my family have eaten here many times. When it was first opened they had a lot of problems and the staff and management changed. Since then the food and staff has been great. We have come for special event days and just to have lunch on week days. We always go out for lunch so I do not know what it is like for dinner time. When the crowds appear for bike week and special events we try to stay clear due to the wait times. The one reviewer who said the menu on this site is not what they serve is correct. This looks like the original menu that had not been updated since they opened. They have added and taken items off over the years. I miss the Noco-roco grouper (peanut sauce with spice). Now they have a wasabi crusted grouper but it is not as good and not very hot. My wifes vavorites are ASIAN SALMON (Asian BBQ glaze with pineapple salsa) - $17.99 or the MANGO MAHI ( mango/coconut chutney on top) - $17.99 If I do not get one of those then I get the MO-JO BURGER (onions, mushrooms, cheese and bacon) - $10.99 If you want there current menu you have to go to there web site rivergrille.net/restaura…

1 star because I think this is a bogus listing and reviews. I'm writing this review because I think this listing is wrong. These pictures are not the food that is served at this location as far as I can tell. There are two listings, one at 930 and one at 950 N. US Hwy 1. There is another River Grille, but it is in New Smyrna. The menu that we accessed through this listings link is to an entirely different restaurant. The menu isn't at all similar to what the actual menu is. The reviews are vague and give no details and for the restaurant or food. I think 3 5-star reviews as the only reviews for this place are odd. I messaged the business, but haven't gotten a response. The actual restaurant for this location is River Grille on the Tomoka.

This is our favorite place around Deltona and Ormond beach. We love to be there! Always friendly staff and amazing food. The restoration located close to the river, so you can see the gator in river in the evening. We are from California, so it's very important for us! :) They call him "skinny gator". The food and beer is very tasty! We love to be there.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint! My husband had the blackened grouper which came with pinto bean succotash (whaaat?!) and cheese grits. Wow! Generous portions, a huge piece of grouper and the succotash and cheese grits were life-changing! I had a fried combo of scallops (huge!) shrimp, and a piece of fish so delicately and perfectly fried. Not greasy at all. The hush puppies...decadent! The smoked fish dip appetizer was delicious and amply portioned wit flatbread crackers! Woot, woot! The atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxing, and our server, Natalie, was a treasure with her suggestions of food, as this was our 1st time visiting. I/we highly recommend this restaurant for the HOT, fresh, and delicious food coupled with the great service and relaxing atmosphere!

For Mother's Day my wife and I and another couple had dinner at the River Grille. My Mahi Mahi was a little overcooked but blended perfectly with the red beans and rice I ordered to accompany it. My wife's crab stuffed shrimp was delicious. I got to taste it. The other couple liked their Jambalaya and Seafood Mac and Cheese. The Key Lime pie was terrific! As busy as it was the services was a little slow. However, that gave us time to enjoy the ambiance. We sat on the lower outside deck and could see the alligators in the river below. Overall it was a great experience.

Mediocre at best! The views are nice and food is okay but other places in town are better! Had the fish and chips and Golden Lion in Flagler Beach is the best! Do not order it here...you will be disappointed!

Mother's Day, a pleasant event wasn't so pleasant today. We get to the restaurant, stand in line with our double amputee mom for 30 minutes in the heat. The restaurant opens, we wait another 15 minutes to get to the area to be seated to be given a beeper, and told we have to wait for the people with reservations to be seated first. After 10 minutes of waiting, people who were in line after us with beepers were seated ahead of us. I would think that if you have people with reservations, you should know what unreserved seating you have left, and if you are going to seat people with beepers do so in the order given for seating. Needless to say, a very disappointing experience.

I go to Daytona Bike Week and the River Grille virtually every year and this year I noticed that there's only 1 review. That's not right. This place is great! The atmosphere (whether inside or out), the staff, the food. Reasonable prices, not a single negative. I highly recommend this place.
